When redownloading the game, holding 'L' on the controller will cause it to just download the software without any DLC. Players experiencing this crash can try archiving the game's software. There are some workarounds that fans have discovered, but these haven't been working for everyone. Most reports have the game telling them 'The game crashed due to an error,' without much explanation as to what the error was or how to fix it. Additionally, some minor changes were made to the fast travel mechanic, and the fifth campaign add-on for Borderlands 2 on Switch, titled Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary, is now available on the Switch eShop. The latest update adds a new field of view slider, allowing players to customize their gaming experience. Both Gearbox and 2K Games are aware of the issue and are looking into it, so hopefully a fix will come soon. Shortly after the patch went live, numerous players reported various errors stopping them from playing the game.
